Peer Review Policy

Peer review is used to make sure that only high-quality research is published. In keeping with its traditional double-blind review approach, which keeps reviewers and authors anonymous, Eastern Journal Pharmaceutical and Allied Science {EJPAS} is dedicated to expeditiously evaluating and publishing fully accepted articles. All articles go through a rigorous review procedure after they are submitted to guarantee that they are examined in-depth by subject-matter experts..

All articles are peer reviewed following the procedure outlined below:

  • After submitting an article, the author is assigned an article tracking number, which should be used in any future correspondence between the editor and the related author.
  • Article is assessed by journal editor against the scope of the journal and Instructions to Authors to make sure it includes the required sections.
  • Whether or not to submit the piece for review is up to the editor. If the conclusion is to approve, the paper is forwarded for peer review to evaluate its scientific merit; if not, the editor notifies the author of the decision..
  • The reviewer(s) review the article and provide the editor with his/her comments, suggestions and recommendations (reject, revise or accept).
  • Following review, the editor decides whether to accept, reject, or alter the reviews (which are typically marked as major or minor).
  • The editor contacts the author with the decision.
  • If there are revisions the authors makes the necessary changes and re-submit.
  • Once the article is accepted by the editor, it moves for final Publication.
  • Authors of articles that are not accepted are notified promptly and then the authors can choose to transfer their articles to another journal.
